Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a system of medicine based on the healing power of nature. The holistic approach
means that a Naturopath will strive to find the cause of disease by understanding you, the patient, as a totality of body, mind and spirit. A Naturopath assesses clients from a holistic viewpoint, looking at the whole body and bringing together all elements of health to look for the root cause of the problem. Sometimes it can be a little like being a detective, to find out why X is happening or why it is not happening as the case may be.
There are two main areas of focus in naturopathy: supporting the body’s own healing abilities, and empowering individuals to make lifestyle changes necessary for the best possible health. While Naturopaths treat both short bouts of illness and chronic conditions, their emphasis is on prevention of disease and patient education.
