Naturopathy is a system of medicine based on the healing power of nature.  The holistic approach means that a Naturopath will strive to find the cause of disease by understanding you, the patient, as a totality of body, mind and spirit.

A Naturopath may use a range of different healing modalities such as nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, Bach flowers, as well as lifestyle changes, water and exercise to bring the body back to optimum health and wellness.  The Naturopath will design a comprehensive treatment plan that blends the best of modern medical science and research, with traditional natural medical approaches to not only treat disease, but to also restore health.  Treatment is based on the individual and tailored to the lifestyle of every person.

There are two main areas of focus in naturopathy: supporting the body’s own healing abilities, and empowering individuals to make lifestyle changes necessary for the best possible health.  While Naturopaths treat both short bouts of illness and chronic conditions, their emphasis is on prevention of disease and patient education.
